The project is located in George Pearl Hall on the UNM main Campus in the School of Architecure buildng. We’re updating about 625sf of existing seminar classroom space. The AV system is getting a major upgrade with a large-format projection (30′ wide) display for seminars, presentations, and hybrid learning. It includes built-in cameras, microphones, and a sound system.

We’re keeping the room flexible and adding support for small break-out groups to encourage collaboration. Modular furniture will be used and arranged in different ways to suit various teaching and learning styles.

We’re also improving the lighting with new LED fixtures with controls and adding window shades for better daylight control, installing new carpet to match the building’s standard, and adding acoustic panels to control sound quality.
