HyFlex Immersive Lab
Located in George Pearl Hall at the heart of UNM’s School of Architecture, this project reimagines 625 square feet of seminar space as a high-impact, future-ready learning studio. Anchoring the room is a dramatic 30-foot-wide projection wall that immerses students and faculty in presentations, pin-ups, and hybrid instruction. An integrated system of cameras, microphones, and a powerful sound system blurs the line between in-person and remote participation, transforming the classroom into a connected, collaborative hub for dialogue and design exploration.
Flexibility is built into every square foot. Modular furniture and adaptable layouts support everything from focused seminars to energetic small-group breakouts, allowing the room to shift effortlessly with different teaching styles and learning modes. Upgraded LED lighting with intuitive controls, new window shades for precise daylight management, acoustical panels for enhanced sound quality, and refreshed carpet aligned with the building standard complete the transformation—creating a comfortable, high-performance environment that elevates both experience and engagement.
